Onze Kolyma Honden - Our Kolyma Dogs : Ons O-Nest - Our O-Litter

Haar uitdrukking in hoofd had m.i. wat beter gekund. Vacht was voldoende.

Vainina was – together with Valerie – the best dog out of our V-litter (our “Astro Litter” as it became known in our sled-dog world, as it was the only litter out of Alaskan’s Astro of Anadyr as sire, given to us for breeding by Earl and Natalie Norris) and I consider her still as one of the best dogs that we bred, if not the best! Although Nina was 4 cm too high in shoulder height, she had excellent shoulder- and rear angulation and perfect ranginess (length in back). Her expression in head could have been better, but her coat structure was sufficient. Improvement in shoulder height and coat structure we corrected and we were happy with that. Funny enough, several pups had one brown and one blue eye, although both Nina and Goosak both had brown eyes. Blue-eyed Chatka, Nina’s Dam must have been responsible for that.

Goosak was a red half-woolly (longer then normal coat length) which was good in structure and density. I bought him because of his size, his type and expression in head, his temperament, his willingness to work and his genetic background. He was the product of beautiful line-bred back to Ch. Alaskan’s Bonzo of Anadyr, a famous dog out of the Alaskan Kennels breeding program.

O’Brian and Oleta were the best dogs out of this litter and most of the other pups did well in the B-teams they went to. Once broken in harness we let O’Brian go at 3 years of age to Denmark. He bred several litters there the owners were happy with. Oleta did well in harness in our teams and in breeding.
